Havana Katatura Children Initiative
About Havana-Katatura
Concentrating on underdeveloped societies, the chairman has put a significant focus on Havana-Katatura.
Havana-Katura, is a prominent settlement in Windhoek, Namibia and emblematic of urban indigence, marked by systemic poverty, inadequate infrastructure, and limited access to essential services.
Originally established during apartheid in the 1960s as a segregated township for Black Namibians, Katutura remains one of Windhoek’s most densely populated and historically marginalized areas. Its name means: “The place where we do not want to live” in Otjiherero, reflecting its forced origins.

Nutrition and acommodation supply
Nutrition Supply Sultan Masood Dakik is regularly visiting Katatura and Havana since 2019
He initiates large nutrition supply initiatives and cooks on his own hands-on for the inhabitants in need. His nutrition supply suffices to nutrify wide more than 200 inhabitants with a growing potential of up to 600 and more to come. He furthermore provides the inhabitants and children with accomodation to stay safe during winters.
Children education
Access to quality education is limited. Overcrowded schools
and under-resourced facilities hinder educational outcomes,
perpetuating the poverty cycle.
Sultan Masoood Dakik Provides educational initiatives for
children besides his overall nutritional supply initiatives.
The children of the settlements refer to the chairman as their
father and love him dearly.
